"Master Planning your Landscape will save you time and money”

The Design is the most important aspect of the Landscaping! With good design you benefit from functionality whilst at the same time reducing maintenance and construction cost.

There are many benefits to having your Landscape Designed, the first and most important is that you have a document that illustrates what you want! It provides a clear scope of works for builders to give accurate assessment of cost, it clearly illustrates stages of work and details of construction and in short it is your road map to success!

Outdoor living and entertainment is a way of life in Western Australia and a well designed entertaining area and garden will add value to your property and create a pleasant setting for entertaining family and friends.

·         Site Analysis / Design Requirements

The Landscape Consultant believes in designing functional landscapes for people to use and enjoy. To do this it is necessary to discuss with each client their ideas, requirements and expectations on what they would like.

Firstly, all problems of the site are addressed eg; drainage, retaining, etc. Then the aspects of function are considered, positioning driveways, paths, pergolas, swimming pools and other necessary hard landscape features. Once these have been identified and located desirable planting themes and plant species can be selected and positioned to link the aesthetic qualities of both the home and garden.

On completion of the design we will deliver and explain thoroughly the design intent, rationale, planting and intended effects.

The Landscape Consultant uses current AutCad software to develop comprehensive and detailed landscape drawings. dwg or .dxf files can be emailed directly to us.

These plans can be produced in black and white or color presentation.

The first is a structural landscape layout which details all built elements;drainage, levels, retaining, pavements &  entertaining structures etc. All construction notation and detailing is shown on the drawing.

The second drawing is a Horticultural layout. The plan shows position of all features e.g. Gardens, Plantings, Lawn Areas.

The full botanic names of the selected plantings will be listed alongside the plantings. Quantities & pot sizes to use are also shown.

The landscape plans are very detailed and are drawn to scale, usually 1:100. This allows easy calculation, setting out, and construction of the landscape.

Most plans are presented as A3 colored sheets at 1:200 scale and full size A1 sheets as black and white for easy construction use. Master Plans are presented on either A2 or A1 sheets, This is the size most building/house plans are drawn upon, so, ease of reading is maximized.
